Intrax Rear Dampers... Which Way Up?!
This might seem like a stupid question but which way round are the Intrax 1K2's supposed to go on the rear? I presume the adjustment knob is meant to be at the bottom but can someone confirm.

I spoke to Simpson's motorsport earlier who originally fitted the dampers and they said they should be fitted with the adjustment knob at the bottom. hmmm... I think i'll get in touch with Intrax and see what they say. Thanks though. |

I run mine inverted, so shock body at the top, adjuster at the bottom.
Means less unsprung weight and you can get to the adjuster! Don't see any reason why they cannot be fitted either way round but inverted makes most sense.

Just to close the thread on this, I spoke to Intrax and the dampers can be mounted either way up as long as nothing touches the drive shaft - it makes no difference to how the shock functions.

Why would it matter which way they went. The shock would still compress and rebound the same.
