Default croft 88db track day

Hi all,

Got booked on a track day at croft that is classed a 88dB day.

Thinking of taking the csl to stretch his legs.......will i pass the noise test? i know certain areas of the track i might need to lift off but just wondered if anyone else had experienced noise issues?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Ben

I have no experience of croft but Bedford is 87dB drive by with 5 meters and CSL with Supersprint full system just scrapes by most days.

If you have standard car and exhaust I think you'll def be ok, but will depend a bit on how they set out the meters.

88dB static or drive by?

FYI - I was at Brands yesterday and that was a 98dB static/ 88dB driveby Eve, I knew it would be close so got noise tested before I handed over my dosh.
At 5.5k revs I was told at static I was right on its limit which I guessed I would be - Running SS Race back box ONLY. Didn't trip the driveby.
Also depends what they get you to rev to, every time I have been to Snett they tell me to rev to 6k as it redlines at 9k!?measuring around 105dB and failed before.
Last night at Brands, he asked me what it revs to I said at 8 so he said 5.5k please - passed just.

My cecil is totally standard so hopefully ill be ok.

Cheers guys

If its 88db static they will test you before you go on track. Ill be very surprised if you pass.

Im not 100% but I dont think croft has meters around the track. Every time ive been its static test only.

think my csl tested around about 88dB static. was standard exhaust. i'm not sure but think they do have a driveby meter at croft - which csl may trip with induction noise as well

is it with javelin saturday 14th sept? im doing the 105dB day on friday 13th - wondered why they were selling it off cheap!

see if you can change to the friday to be on the safe side

cheers

Ive done a few track days at croft in my 205 GTI, they defo have noise meters in 3 locations around the perimeter..........

Yes, doing the javellin one on the 14th, im tight and also have a round of golf booked in for the friday so couldnt do the Friday.

If i get 88dB static itll be fine..........a mate of mine measured 98dB in a C4S with a miltek exhaust on the static test before and the stewards let him on no bother, as long as he lifted near the meters..........i have found them quite generous in previous days.
