Default Ipod FM Transmitter

My sister has asked me to get her a FM transmitter for her 4th Gen Ipod Nano.

There seems to be a huge amount of choice. Ive been looking through ebay, and come across this. Looks the about right but it doesnt come with a charger (draws power from Ipod) which wouldnt be good on a long journey.

Any suggestions? Looking to spend ~£10. Griffin and Belkin seem to be the popular ones.

I've tried loads (inc that one) and they are all fairly rubbish, even the ones for £50-odd. When iPod first made them for the US they were a higher power transmitter and would blank out radio stations (worse for power but plugged into the cig lighter.

UK legal ones are much lower powered and even a faint station will interfer. If you can get a physical link into the stereo, it will save you stamping on it, in the future!

I had a griffin one. It works fine when you locate a free frequency locally, but travel any distance (15+ miles) and you then get stations interfering.

As Nords says, I wouldn't bother. You'd be better off getting a denison or a stereo with an aux port.

Needs to be the transmitter really.

Dension option is way too expensive, and cant get an AUX input wired in to OEM stereo. Not really keen on going to the expense of changing the whole unit.

Cheap n cheerfuls good enough for her
