265 / 35 19 on rears
One of those double take moments, but my recently acquired car appears to have the wrong size tyres on the rears.
I am correct in thinking that they should be 30 profile? The tyres, Conti Sport are new all round and were put on by the dealer. Before I take it up with them, what are the potential issues with running 35 profiles on the rear. (I'm thinking speedo out by a tad) but is there anything else? Thanks |

I did think your rears looked a little oversize in one photo but thought it must be trick of the eye. They should be a 30 profile yes.

It's the additional diameter of the wheel / tyre comb that concerns me. You're running wider, but your diameter is still the same as stock 265/30/19, if you know what I mean. Currently, my rears are 35/19 so taller than stock. |

Deano, if the car is set up correctly with geo after tyres are fitted you may not notice the extra height. If however GEO has not been done you will be riding high due to the extra 13mm rear height. Typically CSL lkes to rde 5mm lower rear to front, but this will bugger up this set up. BMw get mixed up cost those are E92M3 rear tyre sizes

They should be 30.
Regardless of whether it will cause an issue that you will notice is irrelevant. This is why when we buy from dealers at a premium we expect peace of mind, but evidently we don't always get the service/product, that the premium should command. It is however an easy oversight, and one which has no safety issue. But they should rectify it. What size is your front tyre? The matching front for the e92 m3 is 245 35 19 |
