No RS ,
I got a 996 GT3 CS .

My fastest lap on video is a very high 2.51(or 2.52) during the morning while chasing a 997 GT3 . Could have been faster at some points and was a car a little bit in my way at blanchimont 1 .

Video , Gopro was not setup right so is not a good vid

Last one is the fastest

http://vimeo.com/30039353

Still learning how to drive the GT3 fast

Particularly ER and B2 where you tend to catch at if the slower and even faster cars and no way you can go past without loosing loads of time.

I think CSL could do sub 2m 50 but only with a more talented driver than me I fear!

Was great to meet you all, thanks for making me welcome as I kind of 'landed' in your garage for the afternoon !

Think I screwed one of your best laps at the end Shimmy, then nearly went off at Bl2 trying to get out of the way.

Tyres are a bit goosed, running them stupidly high in the morning and understeering most of the afternoon due to combination of poor lines and car being standard. Thought I was getting the hang of it at the end, still a mobile chicane though

Hopefully see youse in the New Year again

I'm also not the most talented driver but i think a 2.50 in a CSL with the "basic" mods (exhaust , suspension , brakes) is a bit too fast . I think 2.51 would be a good target .
My "best" virtual lap (combination of best sector times) with the CSL would be a 2.51.7 .
And for me as a driver that is the fastest i could go with my CSL .
In the GT3 i did a 2.52 and i can improve that time on almost every corner , brake a little later , turn in a bit later ,...
I did not have that in the CSL . The GT3 is the better track car but the CSL is the better overall car
And nothing beats the air box sound

my your prob Nick, it's just always a pain when it is end of the lap and youv avoided traffic for 2m30. last thong I want to do is put you into the Armco (well second last thing after cracking 2m50 )

my best theoretcals are all 2m51-52 as well. I think only way of cracking it would be to find the skill to take ER and B2 significantly quicker

Great couple of days at Spa, good to meet some more CSL reg guys

Jurn, love the white, don't know about the roof rack strips though

Good session paxing with Shimmy, chased down the orange 97RS, passed him, air con on, cooling down lap, he then came passed rather close before the Bus Stop, off went the indicator and gave chase again caught him up through Eau Rouge, on his bumper up Kemmel Straight, braking for the corner at the end flicked it right, passed him again

Fook drinking too many the night before again, Belgium beer's a bit strong.

Nice vid Flow sorry about the RS but your gt3 sound pretty good to me
I agree with you about csl and times at spa a 2.51-52 is the limit for the car on cups and light mods, without having some scares.
The thing about spa for me was a great track and always a great social weekend away

Thanks for sharing Spa tales, pix and vids chaps
I must put Spa in my 2012 TD calendar since the Ring T.F.s have become a bit of a dangerous joke
