you guys are the strangest bunch of csl enthusiasts.

a new product comes out onto the market, and you are so quick to dismiss it without any kind of analysis. unbelievable.

i dont know about you guys but as a long term csl owner, there is yet to be an exhaust to be produced on the market that meets my stringent criteria- to be lightweight, efficient, add power and not be too loud (the biggest problem if you want a lightweight ti exhaust).

matey has spoken to g power today, and i can confirm that markus is not the owner of the csl in question, and the owner of the csl in question does not own an m3 gts. g power have also said that they can provide cad cam images showing the development process of their new exhaust system. they will get a video of the new exhaust and send it to me, and perhaps it will sound different to markus's exhaust. it is snowing at the moment in germany so they wont do a vid until the weather improves.

it is evident that you people dont care about a new product on the market that will potentially be an excellent viable option for an exhaust upgrade, but once i have the vids i will post them, and perhaps then you will change your tone (or perhaps you wont if it is shit, and believe me if it is shit i'll be the first one to admit it).

You obviously haven't seen the thread on here about Markus' titanium exhaust...?

At least then you might understand where we are coming from with regards to his exhaust and why there may appear negativity concerning it...

Needless to say, this all happened prior to you showing up on here and the said thread has since been deleted...

If they start producing them then they won't be custom and you'll have to change the thread title :D

apparently according to g power it is not the same exhaust.

the proof is in the pudding, so one will only be able to say with 100% certainty that it is or isnt the same exhaust once one hears it.

It is far too expensive IMO.

If akropovic dont make one does that not tell you there is not much market for one.

Exhausts tend not to net any real gains on the CSL/M3.

Most want a lighter/better sounding exhaust, YES

But for me 4000 euro for a bit lighter and better noise, but no considerable gains is a no no.

For fucks sake most of the CSL owners on here, wont spend 1100 on a decent back box and wait yrs for a 2nd hand one to come on the market, never mind nearly 4k.

For 4k I would want at least 40bhp from an exhaust, not 7-10bhp

fair enough mate, for me its about having the best csl i can have as i never intend to sell it. getting 10bhp (optimistic and something you will only really notice top end), saving 21.6kg, better throttle response, improved breathing and a better sound at 96db is an interesting prospect for me.

10bhp might not seem like a lot but together with 21.6 kg weight loss, improves the power to weight ratio from 259bhp/ton to roughly 271bhp/ton assuming a standard kerb weight of 1385kg. part of the fun of tuning na cars is making small power gains and small changes and seeing/feeling the difference they make in the overall performance and drive of the car.

also 4k euro is for the full system from the factory headers. supersprint is 3200 gbp for the same system if memory serves me correct. so it is pretty much the same price as the ss system, perhaps a few hundred quid more if that.

for any amount of money you will never get an exhaust system that can develop 40bhp from a straight 6.
