It's not too bad, general around town sensible driving 17/19, motorway cruise 24/26, but in Germany and when pushing on single figures.

So not as bad as you would think.

Rears get eaten quickly, although once the cold weather finally arrives to stay, the winters are going on again, they help massively in the wet and colder temps, hardly worn the vredestein's between Nov-March last year, so does help the tyre budget and grip levels using winters.

Good to hear!

Re the winters, do you keep a spare set of alloys/wheels ready to go or get 4 tyres changed over (and then back again in March)?

That's the plan when I have some spare funds, currently just winters get swapped onto std wheels, so one set.

Probably going for a set of OZ Ultralegga's as the spare set or summer wheels, keep the std multispokes for winter.

There is a lovely estate run by a chap in Germany on the OZ's and KW V3's

I put 265's on the rear of my 63 saloon - fit a treat on 19" rims. I've also heard 275's fit too. Obviously 255's better for that tail-wagging exit from junctions

Same, only had 265 on the vreds and so running 265 on both summer and winters now.
