What's the point in running a wheel that's too wide for the tyre that's fitted to it, rather the correct sized wheel?

It sort of negates the point of running square if you are running standard size front tyre don't you think?

Or is it purely for cosmetic reasons with "concave" bro

Cosmetics i love the depth but the fronts are too flat!!if it had the same concave on 8 1/2j it would be perfect

I didn't run 265 due to tramlining and issues you know related to running wide rims up front.

Im happy with it dude it does negate the point but im not using these rims on track im using m3 rims.i would run square on track but 18s only prob they won't pass my calipers

I realised half way through typing it must be cosmetics. Tyre should be fine on the road, but will induce a little under steer when pushing on.
