I haven’t seen the instagram ones, I doubt even the best filter could make this look better

Just caught up on this thread.

Quite an incredible read and highlights the benefits of forums like this.

TerribleExpert - good on you for flagging. Sorry if I missed it but did you already share the VIN (or registration)?

I’m a stickler for people trying to have others over.

It’s def at BCA the reg is shown. RK04YLP. Vin - WBSBL96020JC98522. Engine number 60103175.

Our “friend” scrubberamit has been online again since and still not done the right thing, has anyone actually met this clown?

Yes, I have met him but only very briefly at a Dads Day Out (Children's charity event). He helped in getting lots of the CSL register to go in 2010.

Am the same as you Terrible expert, I hate people being legged over, especially on cars such as these where people put in huge amounts of time and travel to procure what is often a 'dream car'.

I can't imagine 'We Buy Any Car' gave anything like what even a specialist
would even with full disclosure of the issues.

The job of the forum now is to keep tabs on this car so when (and not if) it turns up as a 1 owner garage queen at a performance car dealership the true history is there.

Kindest,

Jonathan

All my business with Amit was done over the phone - he claimed he was extremely busy and could not meet up. The viewing was done with George, who had the car stored @Technosport, along with some receipts, service book etc.

Amit knew he was selling a lemon as he was pushing for me to pay the full amount immediately, as he claimed he had another buyer waiting in the wings.

The power of social media and members on this forum saved my bacon!

As for webuyanycar, I did a quick appraisal before I agreed to buy the car - their on-line valuation was £39K.

The BCA Auction for this CSL is on the 21st June at Nottingham (pic attached). Note, no service history is provided with the vehicle.

I sincerely hope that any potential dealer/private buyer looking to purchase this CSL carries out their due dilegence!
