No track days planned at the moment as it's bit chilly in the caterham and I'm a bit old and fragile these days
Hope all goes well today and we'll catch up over the weekend

Yeah, thanks Jon. I always knew there was something I didn't quite like about you (). I was only trying to save the lad a whole lot of heartache, but it seems he's gone and done it now in any case - poor fool.

I'm glad to see that you're still enjoying the car in the manner it was meant to be. Take care all.
... blood orange 72 911 ? You on DDK ?

I suppose to a certain extent it depends on the Porsche that would take the csl's place as to how difficult that decision is. However, no Porsche that you'll buy for csl money os going to provide anything like the same dynamic experience. You'd need pretty much to sell 2 csl's to achieve that, which is a demonstration of what a fabulous car it is for the relatively modest current values......

However, if it is to buy an older Porker, then the whole dynamics thing is somewhat different. My '72 T is arguably more of an event and challenge to drive at sensible speeds than ever the csl was, which is just as well, as the 'stupid' speeds that the csl would comfortably sneer at would be impossible or fatal in the wayward and brakeless Porsche. Apples and oranges don't make too good a comparison really.

If you're already able to sample old 911 goodness on a regular basis, I would say that the csl is a definite keeper. I just didn't have enough space and money to do it all at the same time.....

Meant to ask - is the "73 CSL" in relation to what I think it is?

What do you think it is? I would guess it is somebody who owns a CSL and was born in 1973, but that is probably because that is when I was born.
