The CSL wheels are beautiful, I agree.
However, they are very heavy.

The BBS CH is much lighter than the CSL wheels (1kg per wheel).
The BBS CH-R is much lighter than the CH, job well done BBS.
The BBS LM is light, but quite expensive.
The BBS RS-GT is a lot lighter. I always loved these wheels...

Were you running cups on both wheels ?
Because the cups are very light tyres.
I have a set of BBS CH too, but I have winter tyres on them.
I would love to weight them on my own, but I see a pic with a scale so I guess they are right ?

Has anyone weighted the OEM CSL wheels ?

Fair comment....

I had cups on the CSL's so maybe that's why they seemed lighter... my apologises.

I had Falkens on the BBS.

Best to ask Shimmy as he would have handled the CH with the tyres off.

i had the ch`s with cups on and csl`s with 888`s and the bbs were definitely heavier funkster of here bought them so im sure he can confirm this. these were the latest ch`s aswell withe the thicker bead on the rear as the earlier ones were prone to cracking.

Interesting about the weights...

I love those E88’s glen but I would prefer 19’s

Anyone know the weight of E88’s?

19x9F w/ 245/35
19x10.5R w/ 275/30

HRE C93
19x9 9.7 kg
19x10.5 10.02 kg

my favourites

Rotiform SJC
19x10 ET31
19x11 ET12
Weight 9kg – 9.5kg
Material 6061-T6 forged aluminum
3 Piece fully customizable wheel
No window indention on the face
Valve stem mounted on the inside of the wheel
Hardware is hidden behind the face
Curved step lip
Tripple dipped in Chrome

The lightest….
BBS RI-D
• specs: f: 19x9 et22 / r: 19x10 et25
• weight: f: 15.88lbs (7.2kg) / r: 16.54lbs (7.5kg)

Not sure a weight obsession is really needed with these small differences.

Remember with Aluminum it's stiffness does not vary with the different grades of alloy type, or if it's forged and so on. It gets stronger, but not stiffer.

So a lighter wheel has to loose a bit of stiffness as it has a thinner gauge but better strength material. For a track wheel the stiffness can be very important, i.e. the tyre gets more support.

The best track wheel will be the one that has the design that gives the best balance between stiffness and weight, but it almost certainly wont be the lightest wheel.

Well I'll still have a set unless they've been stolen

Love the NTM wheels ran on the GTR I work on.
