So, twiti111 is a bloke from Germany, who is obviously passionate about M3s like us (real name is Markus).
He has a CSL and an M3 GTS.
He built a titanium exhaust for the CSL which he tried to sold here (http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...=twitti&page=4)

Markus' exhaust is full titanium (I bet the catalyzers aren't but whatever...) and is really light.
You can see it here http://www.lightweight-titanauspuffa.../bmw_m3_46.htm
The CSL with the kinky stickers is his.
In my personal opinion the exhaust sounds like shit, but that's just my opinion.
I think the price tag was 3800 euros (I could be wrong) which is a bit expensive for non-branded, non-guaranteed exhaust (it can be the case that he gives a guarantee as an individual... go figure out).
I personally wanted to buy a titanium x-pipe as I have a SS backbox, but Markus will only sell a full system.

I guess g-power is getting Markus' exhaust and selling it.
If your friend doesn't know exact details, please don't insist...
As a nice tv advertisement was saying "better chew your gum, than speak".

Last but not least, there was speculation from member here and mate, that Akrapovic would make a titanium exhaust for the E46.
I haven't heard anything new.

A bit of history for you.

With love
alexk
so how do you explain the fact that the tips are different sizes?

my friend knows the exact details as he has a working relationship with g power. maybe g power is lying that they have just developed the prototype and that they even took the photo yesterday, but i very much doubt that as i dont see why they would lie.

my friend is a professional racing driver good enough to get sponsored to drive the not yet developed ferrari 458 gt3, he won the gt3 championship in the dbrs9, had a few seasons in the gt2 rsr and has done testing in lmp1. so when he talks about anything to do with cars it is pure fact, he doesnt speculate.

being part of this forum, one should not assume that they know more than others not on the forum or recently joined, perhaps they do but perhaps they dont. it is just narrow mindedness to assume one knows more than the next man. you said: 'you are not listening members that are here for a few years and actually know a bit more than you.' the operative word here is 'know', as they dont know, they assume it is the same exhaust as a result of a few similar recurring variables.

according to my friend who spoke to akrapovic directly, while akrapovic have not entirely ruled out the possibilty of making an exhaust for the e46 m3, they told him it is very very unlkely as the e46 is the old model now and there isn't a big enough market to produce it. they also added that they are far too busy with development for newer cars with much bigger markets to even consider producing an exhaust for the e46 m3 for the time being.

im not trying to sell any, im merely trying to get a general consensus of what people think.

i myself have had gruppe m titanium on my previous csls and i just found it too loud police can hear you coming from 10 miles away.

i have been looking for a special lightweight exhaust for about 7 years now and this is the first one that has really caught my attention. my criteria was i didnt want one too loud and for it not to have that horrible drone in low rpms.

im told that this exhaust is not too droney in low rpms and at 96db for the full system it doesnt seem to be too loud either.

i wanted to engage a discussion about what the db readings are for different exhausts and come to a conclusion as to whether or not it would be sensible to enquire further about the g power exhaust system.

It looks shit to me,

I had a nice ti exhaust on mine, the quality looked far far superior than that one.

A little tip,

I have messed about with different exhaust combos.

The best sound IMO was 100 cell race cats with standard back box.

If its just sound you want, try this.

If it's for weight saving to make you faster, save your money and buy some tuition, money far better spent.
