don't laugh :P , they look well when fitted (i know someone who has put them on) and you keep the standard sound

I'm looking for someone local to price it up for me

I have the full milltek inc cats fitted (glendogs old cats) and im really happy with it, yes expensive but imo the noise is better and i have saved a lot of weight also.

I agree with Glendog that the AP's are the first and best mod u can do on the CSL

What the best method for keeping the cars rasp and CSL characteristics but increasing the noise? Cats, decat, bbox..etc?

IMHO Karbonkid, keep the middle pipe as I think that's where the rasp comes from.

Change the BB, its by far the cheaper than the cats and a good place to start.

I've got a full SS system with lightweight BB and silenced center section on at the moment. Fitting the 100 cells makes it quite a bit louder. I think I personally prefered the sound with std cats, SS silenced center section and SS lightweight rear box.

Saving weight was my reason for changing from standard. When we took off the rear box Ant @ Simpsons stuck it on the scales. 25kgs!! Weight of the SS lightweight was 10kgs in the wrapping, so probably 9.8 really. That's 15kg + weight saved. I think with the 100 cell cats, center section and backbox it's saved 25kgs minimum.

I'll try and get a video of the car at my next trackday and post it.

Just fitting a unsilenced senter section to a standard system would that make much difference to the sound, anyone done it?
