After that every year with Falcon BMW Engineers North East. It's looks like every year but I am to confirm with sales man tomorrow (he was off today).

The warranty they are providing is with Warranties 2000 Gold cover, this is major drive component, electrics, major component cover and breakdown cover.

Taking all the above onboard I assumed everything was ok and have been assured this by the dealer. What's your thoughts? If the car has been serviced as regular as is stated above and with those specialists it should be ok for the BMW warranty after the other runs out. Am I right in thinking that?

Cheers guys.
I would check with the BMW warranty people direct if they would cover the car or not. At one time it had to be full BMW SH, although supposedly this has recently changed.

Just a question on the anticorrosion BMW Warranty, if it's registered in early 2004 (April) is it still getting the 12 year warranty??
And is surface rust under the wing mirror mounts covered I wonder??

I'm going looking at 2 cars myself in the UK next week, trying my best to let my head rule over my heart

Hello John, you might find this usefull
http://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/Pages/CarDetails.aspx
and this: http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/
which will give you the specification of the car as originally supplied.

Recent history - Shimmy is the man for the job, just send him a PM and all will be revealed, good luck.

Personally if it has been serviced every two years I would buy and stick on a mondial warranty, pay monthly, then job done.

OP ring up BMW Insured Warranty and see if they would provide cover ?
The BMW Insured Warranty is the best one to get and from what I gather the warranties other companies offer will happily take your money but when you come to claim may be tricky

Unless you are particularly mechanically minded get it looked at by a BMW Dealer with Approved Used Car Check / RAC

Also shimmy may well have some history on this.

Good luck :-)

wont cover rust spots caused by stone chips or the bases for the wing mirrors as there classed as trim.

Where about does rust normally form in the base of the mirrors ? Is this when they fold ?
