PS, my goal is endurance racing one day so when I saw the diff for sale second hand for a bargain price I couldn't help myself.

Hi,

Will the modified group be allowed to run Drexler or
AN.other uprated rear LSD ?

I would argue that its the same difference as say
AP's or Alcons, or say additional oil or water cooling,
they all do the same job, its just that some do it better,
ie- Modified ?

If Modified cars are prohibited from running Grp A type adjustable
front arms, or multi link rears, proper sequential gearboxes,
Standalone ECU, then I can understand better as
to why some arguement could be made, but items like
cooling, braking, LSD lock up, which is what a Drexler basically
is, would seem acceptable to a modified class ?.

Clarification appreciated please, ASAP, as I was just starting
to look into Grp A arms and a Multi Link rear end.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

The diff issue is an interesting one and in part is based on longevity so it may well be allowed (no promises as yet). However, I'd be pretty confident that adjustable front arms and different rear suspension angles will be prohibited. Rear coil overs will be allowed (in modified class) I would say but retaining standard attachments and positioning.
