This was the reason my wife hates my car -and the seats off course- !
I had same issues until I changed to Alcon kit. Alex did you have noise with Ap kit or with oem disks? |

I run the RS29's with Alcons and not a peep out of them.

The reason there is so much noise in the OEM brakes with RS29 is that the pad vibrates (between piston and pad + between the pad mounts).
In the APs or Alcons, the pad doesn't vibrate as much. Mano > OEM brakes with RS29, too much noise. AP brakes, I use RS14 (also RS14 on OEM brakes don't produce any noise). |

Well, just about but does plenty of road mileage between. Get the odd small noise now and then but the AP set up on mine seems to like them.

Hey fellas,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have the same dilemma. I am about to order RS29, SS Lines and SRF Fluid as a midway upgrade to my stock brakes. I can't justify a BBK kit yet. Do RS29 pads squeal as bad as everyone says ? I will be doing a road trip to 'ring on june and I can't bare loud squealing for such a long journey. Some says it is quiet, some say it is ear bleeding loud. Looks like a hit or miss thing. I consider using Cera Tec lube to help things out but still undecided... Any input is appreciated. Thanks |

Just dont put rs29s on oem brakes.
You have been warned ! I tried the bmw anti squeal paste twice. It was horrible ! RS14 is the way to go |

As for Clubber I would try my solution (despite having an AP set up) which is just to stick the RS29s in for track and then DS2500 for road. Incidentally I do not seem to get any noise from RS29s on my AP set up . Pip |
