CSL Register

I realise this is a bit

But given this place is called CSL register, should we create a new section called CSL Register? A seperate thread for each car...

I realise BMW never individually numbered CSL's but that doesn't Stop us from doing it

Mine is 0001

Be a good way of keeping track of written off jobbies as per the other threads.

Could even get some CSL Reg plaques made up now that would be super gay

Thoughts...

Matt I thought the suggestions of build numbers were found to be unfounded

Plus there were a thousand odd, so are they numbered in three figures per teritory? Otherwise you would expect a 4 figure number?

i think that our own database of CSLs inc original plate, extras and colour would be intersting along with any major traumas!

Definitely a good idea! And with current mileage as well in case anyone else's car gets clocked along the way....

maybe with previous owners (numbers and forum names)

maybe put it in a private area of the forum

My thoughts exactly, the number would just be for reference and make it easy to look up or point people at.

Have you got deatils of any that have been written of for good, i.e. no more?

I'm just passing on the link.
Indeed there were over a 1000 CSLs build "world wide" however it's possible that the 800 odd non UK CSLs VIN numbers may start with different two letters, to the usual "JC....." of the 422 UK CSLs, making it possible to work with the 3 digits restraints. Just a thought

Yep thats what I was getting at with the per territory bit. Maybe so.
