What Shimmy said... it HAS TO be, at the very least £35K ![]() Some car dealers like Mr N.J. are selling examples (albeit with some obligatory options ![]() ![]() Yours represents what a TRUE M3 CSL should be... Option less and as lightweight as originally intended ![]() Get it looking A1 and £35K is achievable as it would make a cracking Track Toy for someone or at worst a valuable asset to a Private collector.

As everyone is saying mate, ramp that price up a bit and I'm guessing you're probably already realising it's a bit cheap with the amount of phone calls you're getting already, ;-)
I know of someone that paid £32K privately for one with 23K miles on it (iirc) and a load of options on it. Good luck with the sale either way, someone will get a cracking car nonetheless! |

With the M3 GTS being so overpriced and not much quicker,
all BMW did is push the price of the CSL up. ![]() This is also in the context of a market where car makers have to become more green and concentrate on ROI, so you won't get many true hardcore M cars led by the engineers in the future either ![]()

See my querries a few threads below and compare comments there against points made below and believe these refer to same car. My initial thourghts to were 16.5k miles @ £29k got to be worth a look-see. I have and seen enough to be interested but not at £29k and neither would most of you either unless you are soley interested in price-hiking as own one already but then you would not really be likely to buy another ![]() The car is by no means poor but it needs spending on to bring it up to £29++k mark and as a 'non-extras' model it is not worth same as ones with the std. options ie a/c & stereo in todays market and may well not be for many many moons. Ultimately proof is in the pudding as if it was/is that good a deal it would be sold by now. So dangerous to comment without seeing any car in the flesh IMO. For the record I am still interested but comments below may prove to have raised sellers expectations if so then I am out!!! |

I think that your comments above have some truth, but I disagree re the lack of options and price. Right now the lack of options may hinder resale but not price. It may take longer to sell but I dont think its worth less. The problem arises when no interest arises, they lower the price, no interest still, they become desperate to sell so lower even further. It only takes a few desperate to sell people to destroy the value in a prestige marque such as a CSL. Patience is key. I feel in the future an optionless CSL will be worth more. A true CSL so to speak, if one exists. After all the whole ethos surrounding the CSL, was stripped out lightweight thoroughbred race car type. A true enthusiast will pay premium for a true csl ![]() ps I'm biased, as my csl is optionless ![]() Last edited by shane@mbtech; 13-08-2010 at 11:44 PM. |

I agree to some extent with Shane ^^
I think that an 'optionless' car will for the most part always be valued at less than the equivalent, same mileage, optioned car - by most buyers. That's the main consequence of owning a no-options CSL when it comes to selling - the potential buyer customer base is considerably smaller than that of someone selling a fully optioned CSL. Most buyers expect creature comforts these days - even on a purists car like the CSL. I was like most buyers when i was looking for my CSL and used it daily at first enjoying the extras that the car has. Now i only use it for track days and Ring trips and i can honestly say that i wouldn't miss any option except perhaps aircon. I would be very interested in that car if i was a new buyer now...
