You'll do well speaking to Rob @ DMS Automotive www.dmsautomotive.com U'll be amazed what he can get out of the S54 engine (safely) ... I was especially @ 6200 rpm where the CSL has a flat spot

Remapping the S54 is only going to bring benefits low down. No one is going get much more than BMW from the top end...

agree regarding healine power but you have to try Evolves as the car pulls very differently

Totally agree with Shimmy. My CSL was the first CSL to be remapped by Evolve and they know what they are doing. Compared to STD the car feels stronger to me throughout the rev range along with a meaner noise.

We could do a few "tests" on the SPA/Ring trip as I would be surprised if my car doesn't pull harder than a std CSL. I'm sure Evolve do a try before you buy anyway, right Shim?

Anis

I'm more interested if my car pulls better than it used to!

My data from trackdays should go someway to show if it is.

Not really Shimster - you're 100kg lighter with a different diff, lighter wheels etc etc etc

I couldn't agree more ... mine feels much more muscular in mid range then it did before RR, so much so that I don't feel the need to go to 7900 rpm for MAX power, all of the time

Agreed mate but I'm totally convinced mine pulls better than it used to. I knew straight away when I put my foot down on a dual carriageway on the way back from Murketts. It felt flat and didn't pull as hard at any point through the rev range.

I can't believe that people remap a CSL
After all BMW may cancel your warranty I know a car they have removed the bmw warranty from after it was remapped

Buyer beware
