These are my favourites, not necessarily the best, as can't really comment on Nuvolari, Ascari (x2), etc. Only know the tales
1) Senna 2) Loeb 3) G. Villeneuve 4) Derek Bell 5) A. Vatanen |

You are all so wrong. Know your history. Modern drivers have their place but they aren't in this class. In no particular order:
Fangio - no explanation required. Nuvolari - for Nurburgring 1935 alone but he achieved so much more. Jim Clark - probably the best of all time. Senna - best in modern time. Gilles Villeneuve - best natural talent and the personification of what a racing driver should be.

Nuvolari - For his passion and flair
Moss - the Champion that never was, Mille Miglia 1955 average speed in excess of 100mph on cobbled streets. Fangio - The Master of all times. eg. Nurbugring 1957 say no more. Shumacher - The best in modern time, single mindedness to win whatever it took. Sebastian Vettel - The air apparent and natural successor to Schumie. (not shimmy)
