Update.

Ok, I done what was said above and turned the spring until it was sat in the little pocket. On lowered the car back down (i.e. Lifting the strut with the jack) I noticed that the spring wanted to over hang the bottom of the strut and wasn't too keen if I'm honest. I soldiered on though and got both done but haven't been for a test drive yet. Now worried I have to say.
