Front caliper is mechanically the same just painted glossy. Front carrier is different so is the disc. Little known fact rear caliper is also different the piston size went from 42mm to 46mm shifting the brake bias slightly rear ward in the csl

The pads would be working at a greater radius and therefore have more "leverage" so to speak, and I presume better stopping power

I'd personally hang-on to the original brakes, just so if you ever wanted to go back to standard when selling.
Been trying to find the video of a chap who's Z4M brakes failed on track but luckily spun through a gate to an a-joining field.
