Haha! Found an apt pic.
Me leading Williamson on an LMA race at Combe. The mighty quarry corner sees the Gus Bus go through nice and flat.... E36 got more Aero now...

I'm not going to get into a debate but considering you have swanky BMW designed suspension and a half decent car to start with I'm not suprised you can lead him!
He really needs a decent gearbox and a 6 degree rear beam, then he'd be awesome Nice pics and nice E36 btw, when is your next race at Combe?

Hi,
I think Combe is a very Technical circuit, seen many a Fandangle exit very early at Quarry. Its always Quarry that catches people out as they never seem to keep high at Avon. Once you've over cooked it at Quarry, it more or less screws the rest of the lap. I think the chicane [Bobbies] they put in, has taken something away from Camp corner, as well. Always good fun at Combe though, even if its wet. Regards, The Gorilla. |

Hi,
Glendog- ''push hard through Bobbies into Camp corner' does make you wonder who the fuck came up with it. Regards, The Gorilla. |

Two corners key to a good time at Combe. Camp obviously as it leads to the the longest straight (well, sort of straight! folly bend) and Old Hairpin.
Too much nonsense spoken about Quarry. There are a million entry and exits, all of which give same laptime. Depends if you are defending or attacking. Easy to crash there and some idiotic antics happen on first laps. Old hairpin has lots of time in it. Most biilies come out of the esses and try to get too far left wasting time. Take early apex over kerbs, let the car settle and get back on the power. Whatever you do, do not come out of the power as you will have an expensive shunt there. Grass then barrier 6 ft later.. Car is not nicely balanced as it is off camber and the apex is on a slight peak, so car weight is less on exit. Get it turned early...

For reference, i've done a 1'12 in my Elise and Kevin Clarke's CSL has done a 1'09!! Mike Wilds in his WTCC did a 1'16, although it was sick.
