Help at Spa/Ring 2010

Seems there is a considerable £££ difference between 18" rubber and 19" rubber. Genuine M3 18' can be had for peanuts and 18" R888 for around £600 as oppose to £1200 ish for 19" R888. Cups about the same in 19" CSL sizes.

R888 aren't meant to be that good on a CSL, so little difference between the 18 / 19 cups

I'm willing to experiment and find out for myself They can't be completely useless. I've experienced "Flatout's" Z4M Coupe (with 18" R888s) that beged to differ and a m8 of mine runs a Porker 928 GT (the Manual one) Race car with a set of 18" R888, with great success.

Mods, can you please seperate the posts with the tires etc and leave the pertinent ones here ?

I will have with me :
1. Jack + tools
2. BMW GT1 diagnostic (in case we have an engine light etc, we can fix it )
3. Chocolate from Switzerland
4. Performance friction race pads (front ones) for AP racing calipers (I got them on the side... so no worries)
5. 2 litres of Castrol TWS oil
6. 1 litre of Castrol SRF brake fluid
8. spare fuel filter

I am the Swiss CSL, easy to spot (also the fastest one, in theee woooorlddddd)

you do know these Cups are 'Shimmy's Cups' and hence sell for a premium WELL OVER list price - i mean think of the lap times you can quote your tyres have done at various circuits

and dont mention forums to my wife if you ever meet her Anis!
