Depends on the set up IMO.

Nitron, Intrax, to name 2 are superior in quality and performance against OEM suspension.

Depends what you want, if you want to take the car on a track, yes, for all other purposes, no.

And if you're paying a lot for a car as an investment it will always be worth more as stock.

I dont think anyone would want 12 year old suspension now. Might aswell spend a grand and get all new struts.

Pooky you didn't read what I said. I didn't mention driving on track or modifying versus stock.

What I said is a statement of fact.

I dread to say it, but ever since I've sold my previous CSL, I've kept checking back on this forum to see what's happening and whether I might buy another one. I knew I shouldn't have sold it. Ah well. For me, the killer line for this car is:

"A spare set of 4 BBS CSL alloys is also available for £1,200 and are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Tyres which are well worn."

No stranger to the Ring, I imagine. Still, £49k. Nice appreciation.

Can add some facts to this car as we know the owner and car well. A highly trained driver who has set the car up to satisfy his thirst for track days. He knows how to set the car up and the suspension is all sound. He has never been to the 'Ring. The vehicle has been truly maintained regardless of cost. If we could add it to the CAT fleet, we would without hesitation

The 4 year ownership by a 73 year old is a bit of a red herring IMO and not particularly relevant to the current sale.
The performance upgrades have been undertaken by the current owner.
I did have to read the ad twice though

After all the performance upgrades that's a hugely missed opportunity right there IMHO

Well when you say it like that a fact it must be. I've only been developing, designing and tuning suspension for twenty years so I know sod all about it.
