It's a public toll road, if we want Marshall's and safety we should choose track days?

What's the general consensus

I feel people forget that it is a public toll road, and when we drive there fast, we do so with blind faith.

That is the official line i guess- but they make alot of money from letting us blast round there as fast as we dare, so they should invest some of it on better training for the marshalls resulting in safer days for us,- the paying public.

I think both incidents in question were the cause of bad marshalling rather than not enough marshalls.

It's clear to me, they need to put a warning flag out in time for people to be able to slow down-there would be better safety employed on any other public toll road where workers are on the road imho..

looked to be enough marshalls there, just not doing their job to a decent standard

No question the scooby drivers were pushing their luck with tunnel vision and limited ability, however, with better safety measures in place- guys like them would have less chance of causing such issues

Northern monkeys is definitely correct. "Fookin' ell". Hilarious.

In fairness, I would not want to be hard on the brakes in that section, in any car. But I certainly would never want to be in a Subaru with a big rear spoiler. Yikes.
