Imho it's fine standard but that noise is addictive not intrusive

A chap in my street has a Gruppe M on his CSL and it is just too loud...and for me it spoils the character of the CSL as it sounds like any other car with a load exhaust added. Doesn't have that distinct CSL sound any more.

Woulds imagine it would fail most noise test at track as well.

The Gruppe-M backbox is really too loud .
A friend of mine had it on his M3 , Too loud and did not like the sound of it .

Anyone know what thorney cars run? I really want to keep the characteristics of the distinctive Rasp etc ... but added volume of noise. Might pay em a visit for a demo drive and ask for a group buy

I got a Gruppe M for my lowly M3 for a trip through Europe, and it was a bit of a laugh, drowning out everyone in the tunnels. But when I got home it drove me insane

so I flogged it.

If there was some way to turn it on/off I'd have kept it for those odd times when you want your car to deafen you, but otherwise it became a pain to live with. And you can imagine how much 'fun' it was once I moved to Manchester and got myself an underground parking space...

Sounds ok outside for me but interior cam would be the test of time
