I always go Harwich to the hook by overnight ferry, for me it saves a 130 mile trip to Dover ,also it's less miles to the ring from Holland about 80 miles so all in its around 340 mile saving on my low mileage warped and heated garage queen.

Good shout I've done that trip few years ago in my Porker on the High Speed Day crossing and it's a much better/quicker/closer run down to the Ring, avoiding the Bruxells Ring Road and the overall dullness of the E40
Might be a good alternative for some of the East Anglia CSLs. What's the cost mate ?
