Returning to ownership and seat question
The CSL is a car that I have always held great memories of. I moved to an e60 M5 after over a year of having a CSL and have always missed the car.
I had recently planned to move to a GT3 as a everyday car and for a few track days but having extra seats seems to make more and more sense. (Re) enter the CSL. Out of all the cars I have owned the CSL is the only car I have said I would own again. I could do with a full rear seat as I have just got rid of my daily car too, has anyone retro fitted a middle rear seat to give an additional seat at the back? with seatbelt? Does the standard M3 bench fit? Also do CSL's have Isofix? I have a 911 that is currently for sale which will make way for the CSL and then I will be looking for a sub 45kmile SG CSL with AC and Xenons, AP's would be nice but I can do that myself if necessary. If anyone has a car that will be coming up for sale in the near future please pm me. Cheers Lee

Yes they have ISOFIX, no idea on the rest but check the V5 states 5 seats or you could have insurance issues with 5 people in it...

Welcome back, haven't seen you post in a long while Lee. Last I remember was when I was on the search for one & you offered me a test drive.
Isofix is there and standard Rear M3 bench and backrest will fit. I would use M3 bench with baby seat. Wouldn't want to scratch that centre console tray ay or you could easily remove the console, but would still only allow 2 to seat in the back. |

Who was it that had 4 seats in the back? I remember a post somewhere (can't remember if it was on here) where they'd had a bench made by some specialist to seat 4 kids in the back, fairly looked a tidy job.
The M3 rear seat should fit, don't know what it would do to the 'look' of the car without Alcantara... I suppose you could re-trim and whole rear bench and back out of a fooked M3 maybe... Oh yeah, welcome back. |

I have the lap belt from the m3. On the rare occasions that I have all 5 of us in it does the job with 1 of the lads sat in the middle.
The only marks on the console were from previous owners .... nothing major |

You moved from a Caterham if I remember correctly? Isofix is another tick in the yes box! |

Cheers, if I can get a rear bench I have a really good trimmer near me so will get as close to OEM look as possible.
