Very easy car to drive sideways, just trust its ability and turn it off.

M-Track seems a total waste of time to me in the dry, i understand from the manual that you may need apply a little counter steer - mines pulling the power before i even start to counter steer... well .... almost
Must say the CSL is *alot* more tail happy then my previous M3!

I've got to disagree, Rich. I drive with M-Track on virtually all the time (both in the wet and especially the dry).
You can still get plenty of sideways action before it starts cutting the power. It's just a matter of learning what the optimum speed/power/wheel position combinations are that M-Track works best at. |

Ok - i drove the CSL today in the relative dry with traction turned off and sport on - and i have to say that it immediately launches so much better - rather than cut back the power and have the car sort of sink it seems to grip better and go - ive even noticed it spinning the rears a little when changing up to 2nd. Ive also found that i feel slightly more in control and more comfortable using the gear lever to change rather than the paddles, especially when humping it around twistys where the paddle can end up in an awkward position to change etc.
My next challenge is using the Mtrack button - but i best read the manual first!!! |
