Indeed - especially if you do regular trackdays!
The PS2s here were part-worn fronts and almost totally worn rears that came with the set of track wheels i bought recently. It seemed a shame not to give them a good send-off before replacing with Cup tyres! They did my recent Castle Combe trackday too!

The XBOW was on PS2s also. I have always found PS2s really good on track. They're never going to be as extreme as Cup tyres but if you only have one set of rims and do the occasional trackday i think that they are worth the extra premium over some 'lesser' road tyres IMHO.
I properly roasted mine yesterday and they were rumbling away through Craners and Coppice at speed! They are progressive though and hang-in there really well just making the rear of the car 'shimmy' now and then! I ran a few 8m40s Ring laps on PS2s last year and that was with standard suspension and brakes with uprated pads
