Agree with the others, the SMG works perfectly in the environment it was designed for, all while being alot lighter than an auto box or DCT.
And its not like its painful to drive in traffic, its just a bit jerky at times. D

I want one with a gear lever for road use and then the paddles for track (like you used to see on some rally cars, where you could watch the lever moving when the paddles were being used and then switch to manual mode in the event of the air-shifter failing ). It's not going to happen, but that would be my dream spec .

Do you mean there is a transmission that has shift paddles on the steering wheel and a lever that is still H-pattern?


Only thing that i can think of is the paddle shift upgraded 997 GT3 Cups.
Some still retained the shift lever in addition to paddles. But the lever, of course wasn't in H pattern but sequential.

I had one with a manual gearbox.

It was nice, but it was not a car that made me look back when I had it parked.

The driving position made you sit too high as well.
