I need to remove the console to replace the handbrake lever, is it just a case of removing the fixings or is there anything else I should look out for ?

4 screws and it comes out. Two up front under the window switch and two more under the plastic round coverings on the back of the console (plastic covers are a bitch to take out (fishing line helps or a blunt thin blade but be careful)

All done, took just over an hour to replace the lever.
