Default Ok...let's start! Looking for SG CSL!

Hello guys, so, I know you might be bored with this kind of questions....but...does anyone knows this car for sale at Nick Johnson Motor Company? Don't know his company and have no idea of his reputation in this website...so I'll rather ask here before getting in contact with him!

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3775252.htm

Want to buy a low miles example and need to be SG...warranty of course is a plus if it comes with all the right things (full options, immaculate service history, clean car etc etc...)

Don't mind if the car went on the track as I'll do trackdays as well so provided there is no signs of heavy tracking history I have no probs with that...

Why low mileage? There is no specific reasons, I feel that, in absolute terms, the difference in pricing from a 20k miles car to the price of a 50k miles car is not huge so I'm willing to make the extra effort and take the one that at least on paper should be better...

Will appreciate any help in the meantime I'll keep reading as much posts as possible in the technical area!

Cheers,
Max

I'd say go for a higher mileage one you can then treat it like you stole it

Steer away from low mileage unless you're willing to restrict annual mileage to 500 max per year. Premium paid for that warm feeling of low miles. Forum cars for sale are the one's to buy.
Currently on my 3rd csl having bought from each end of the spectrum.
i bought a 10k csl from Nick Johnson for £37k .. car was realistically worth £32K....2nd car was from the forum as was the third and current steed.

NJ is worth a visit for no other reason than he's generally got 6 cars in stock to test drive and compare.

Keep your eyes on the for sale section on here.

I've recently bought my CSL from Nick. I had dealt with him approx. 14 years ago when I bought an Integrale 16v. Nick is true enthusiast & knows his stuff. Yes, you may pay a bit more than a private sale, but he doesn't buy rubbish. If he did, his reputation wouldn't have lasted long.

I'd suggest talking to him & looking at what he has - they will be good benchmarks. Other than Nick, I'd only consider buying from an established forum member - anywhere probably carries a higher risk.

I Sold my car through Nick last year and for your information he wants to keep a good reputation and it shows. before I sold my car he went throug it with a fine tooth comb and put any little niggle right even little things a potential customer may never see.

+1 on the above.
My prerequisite was a car over 50k but with full history. 2 reasons for that were 1- someone has already taken the hit to the wallet for sub 50k cars and 2- i have no issues / worries driving it and putting miles on it.

Good luck with the search, you'll love it

Im toying with the idea of selling mine.

I adore it, but i need to get on the property ladder while prices are still cheap and there is alot of capital tied up in this car.

watch this space

Best wishes with the Hunt.

How about 600's car on the For sale section, £18K for a straight CSL is crazy, yes the miles are high but he looks after the car (no expense spared)

Check out my ad in the for sale section. The car has more miles than you are looking for but is in great condition and wants for nothing.
