How do you know the steering wheel moves without the wheels moving?

You will always have slight play, is it engine on or off. Power steering systems always have slight play when engine not running, run engine and the play in the rack can disappear.

As above though, better to be safe than sorry, get it checked out.

To be honest, I dont Shane...it just feels like they're not

Its minimal (maybe a 1 degree turn in either direction from cente) and when engine is on.

I'll be up to Elms in the next couple of weeks for MOT anyway so I'll ask Gareth to take a look.

I had this on mine. Was a loose pinch bolt on the steering column, close to the bulkhead on the engine bay side. Long shot, but easy to check.
