Extensive Engine Modifications
Just thought this might be of interest to someone;
A guy in Greece has a E46 M3 with extensive engine mods and still running N/A configuration: 350whp whats that about 390hp? Interesting thing is that its higher than what E92 M3's are putting down Quoting "" ACCRALITE 12,5 : 1 pistons ( "shaved" block to go to 12,65 ) arrow pressision connecting rods arp head studs arp connecting rods studs arp main studs Oversized One Piece High Performance Stainless Steel Valves Balanced and Blueprinted Valves Balanced Springs Resurfaced Face Titanium Valve Spring Retainers VAC High Performance Valve Springs lightweight & balanced crank OEM CSL carbon intake ecu reprogramed / aplhaN management ( oem csl dme ) schrik cams 304/296 12,5mm lift diamond coated cam followers 8.500 rpm limiter Bosch larger fuel injectors ( 15% more fuel ) rogue power pulleys custom headers custom section 1 decat custom Xpipe unresonated eisenmann race muffler / one tip mufler the last dyno run was 347 rear wheel power...it was with 290-282 cams... on a rototest dyno that measure power to the wheel hub... now the new dyno was done in a mustang dyno ( which here were i live is considered the most strict dyno that we have..many cars from tuners are let down in that room...., the E92 was at 325-330rwp in there... ) and from what the owner told me it reads about 10% lower than the one i was using all these years.... so the new dyno was 340 at the wheels.... im going back for some more test runs cause the clutch let us down in the progress of the dyno session... no dyno plot from the 340 but i am going to get one the next time i am going in a couple of weeks...
