Default Pre-Inspection II

Inspection II is over due and thinking of getting it done after it come out of storage for the winter, but still having to drive it daily due to not finding a daily yet.

I wanted to pre-prepare for it and get at the essential bits, such as Brake fluid, filters, pads etc myself.

Is there any better options to consider before it goes in? ITG filter to replace of the OEM BCM, Oils & fluids. Brake fluids AP Dot4, 5.1 or other? (Currently running AP5.1 think, F&R APs).

Over the last few weeks I have been working my way through doing the essential maintenance, checks, & winter protection.

Today was Airbox Day. Inc her flap played with, put back on and stripping the Airbox down giving a good inspection and a thorough clean for the first time. Damn Im glad I went there! Dust, Grit, Grease, Stones, Leaves and Bird! well... maybe a little exaggerating, but I was well surprised! The filter is due a new one id say, but behind the filter was a fair bit of black oil on the intakes. Especially towards the back, the last couple and the inside of the carbon box was coated in oily layer and a bag of sand! So got the G101 APC out and gave 2 hours. Worth taking a look!
