By investing in the car prior to sale the owner will maximise his eventual resale price.
As for the replacement engine, I know of at least 2 csl's with the same scenario and they're both highly regarded examples currently and previously owned by forum members.
Of course he will maximise his eventual sale price but will it be cost effective?
