Default Help!! SMG Fault...

Hello all,

Looking for some advice here.

I'll try not to rant too much and stick to the facts as I know them....

So, my Car is in Storage over winter as usual, and last weekend I called them up to arrange access to go and get her out for a run.

I was told - "We tried to move the car a month ago, and it wouldn't go into gear or drive" the battery is flat and it behind a load of other cars"

So, aside from being pretty seriously pissed-off that they knew for a month the car had a problem and didn't tell me, I went down and started the car which was fine, but when I tried to put here into 1st, the "1" light just flashed on the "what gear you're in display" and didn't hold.

There is a DB5 a blue Rizla paper's-thickness away from the front and a DBS a green rizla paper's thickness away behind, so I am very nervous about trying too hard as if she jumps at all, I'll hit one of the Astons.

Aside from the fact that I pay good money for full, un-obstructed access, and evidently don't have that, I am concerned about the fault, as I need to get the car out and MOTd asap.

So, to re-cap,

Ccar won't go into first or reverse, even though the display indicates it's trying to, but light just flashes and then returns to "N"

No Orange Cog of Death as yet,

No sounds from pump or anything else that I can hear...

What do I do? The car needs to go to a Dealer anyway for the Pas' Airbag recall, and I was told my them to book this in from Feb' onwards, but I was also going to get the MOT done at the same time.

I don't want to have to pay for a low-loader if I can help it, but above all, in equal measure, I am shitting myself about the fault, and pissed off with the Storage Co' for not botherin to tell me about the problem that they admit they knew of for a month, and them blocking the car well and truly in .

Is there a "Soft Reset" I can try somehow?

Hoping someone can help

Best - Nick.
