I removed the AUX fan and kept the viscus fan.
It's good enough for the non-AC CSL, so it's good enough for my car (I don't run the AC while stopped). Why are you saying 88C for the thermostat ? The S54 thermostat is 80C. I like the electric fan installation. I will try it on my car too for performance reasons. Shimmy > the rubber sealing on the top of the bonnet should be sufficient to release the hot air from the engine bay. I had done this on my Z3 and the intake manifold temperature decrease was shocking to say the least (from 55-60C down to 30C, with 26C ambient temperature). |
