smg settings

I've been driving with the SMG set to 5 , which I find perfect for my kind of driving on my local Yorkshire lanes

.... but I wanted to check, are there any downsides mechanically to driving in setting 5 all the time? Increased where to the drive train etc ?

On a similar note, what's the downside of driving distances in say setting 3 ? ( this appears to be the more wife friendly setting

) . Possiblity of clutch slur ?

2 weeks or so with my CSL & I'm loving it. Can't believe I didn't get one sooner
