alcon caliper is 2 kilo,s lighter than standard caliper and the disc is half a kilo lighter than standard
 add the weight of the bracket and a couple of bolts but it is still a big saving and that is un sprung weight which i seem to remember you can times by a factor of 5 as far as the effect on handling i read a post on mtorque where someone said they lost some weight with a brake upgrade and several people said you probably added weight well i guess not
