Hi,

Just this minute joined the forum and enjoying the passion for the CSL! Drove my first one today and was overwhelmed, genuinely can't understand the luke warm reception it received when launched. Possibly the extreme tyres....?

Anyhoo, until recently my plan was to gradually convert my Z4 3.0si into a sort of CSL one off as I enjoy tailoring my cars and love the shape of my coupe. HOWEVER! The spiralling costs and the reasonably bouyant market for the coupe have led me to the purchase of a CSL for real and after the test drive im completely hooked!

Thought i'd hate SMG having raced Ferrari CS system which was in a word, 'sh1te' but was very impressed in all modes.

My Z4 has 19" BBS CH alloys on and AST fully adjustables which have transformed the handling I must say. I will be sad to see the car go but the CSL is just so more focussed and exotic......and the induction roar is frankly ridiculous!

I digress, my real question is, would my BBS fit the CSL (10'S ON THE BACK AND 9'S ON THE FRONT) with some slicks on for track use? I can then revert my Z4 to standard wallowy set up on standard 18" splitties.

Am trying 5 CSL's over the next 3 days weather permitting and hope to join your days out soon.

Cheers

Steve Brown
