I'm back and the GTR is fookin FAAAAASSSSSSSSTTT!
Hey guys I'm back from my hols, had a fab time, 5 days in Orlando, 2 weeks in naples, heaven. I missed you fookers.
Anyways picked the GTR up yesterday a few hours after landing. What can I say, its frickin awesome. I was a bit apprehensive, would it be too computer like?, would it drive itself? would it live up to the hype?, would I regret buying it? I can honestly say, its awesome, brutal acceleration, brakes feel fantastic on the road. It is also willing to shake its tail, which I love. (Ask Jim and Alex), but it can when driving properly grip like a mother fucker. Fitted a full exhaust system today and it now sounds like an exotic, its mind blowing. It was far too quiet before, painfully so. To sum up.... I think its stunning to look at, its fast as fook, it grips like shit to a blanket, stops on its nose, has all the toys you could want, is comfortable, has 2 personalities a real jekyll and hyde-the mrs could pop the shops in comfort, then I could take it and "live my life 1/4 mile at a time", Yes its quite thirsty, yes the running costs will be quite high, yes the road noise is quite high, yes the gearbox temps can rise and cause shorter track stints, and i'm sure there are a few other drawbacks,, BUT, am I bothered, not one bit, as soon as you drive it you instantly forget these things. It is a truly great car and a credit to Nissan. I am loving it up to now, and think I will continue to do so. PS ill report back after the honeymoon period. |
