Arden Maidstone (Coopers)
I was just wondering what experiences people have had with Arden (fomerly Coopers, Hartshill and Lind !). I undertsand that they are now a sole franchise.
Everything seems to be a drama for me there but then perhaps that is all BMW dealers. I always ask about the BMW 'Four Plus' scheme and seem to get palmed off. If a dealer is in the 'Four Plus' scheme should the invoice say so or is it reflected on the invoice as a "10% discount" or is nothing shown in writing? Despite having the insured warranty on my CSL they point blank refused to replace the back box depite the fact that one of the flanges connecting back to mid section had sheared. I know a few other CSL owners have had this done as a replacement back box through warranty. The latest 'drama' was the replacement of a wheel sensor on e39 M5. Originally replaced at an independant dealer, BMW deemed the resistance tolerance to be incorrect and so replaced it again a week later with one from their parts department - still in discussion with them on the acceptable tolerances! Replacement did not solve the error code as it turned out to be the surface from which the information is read was dirty and once this was cleaned it sorted it out. So in short should I be using someone else, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Tunbridge Wells? Anyone have any experiences with these dealers and if so which is best for the CSL? Pip |
