"Alcon are a little bit better in all ways" - well they aren't cheaper, they won't stop you any faster, they won't give advantages with regard to fade so erhaps not better in all ways Better disks for sure though and like Shimmy if I were starting from OEM I'd take a look at them without a doubt.

The tyre is the limiting factor in stopping distances and you don't get any fade with the common AP kit anyway so difficult to improve on those areas. AP make monoblock calipers too if that is really a consideration, and water cooled ones if you are as heavy on the brakes as Fuchs

They are all good kits, pick the one that meets your budget and buy from somewhere that will give you the support you need.

AP rebuilt and resealed all pistons on both front callipers including having to fit 2 new pistons due to corrosion and I was only charged for the seal kits, that sent them right up in my estimation :D
