SMG Problem

Afternoon all,

I started my car this morning and went to reverse out of my parking space, got half way out and the car went in to neutral and wouldnt go back in to gear. The SMG light was on (orange). Nothing I did would get it in to gear, checked the bonnet just in case.

Left it about half hour and tried again, this time worked fine! Albeit the SMG light is still on.

Any ideas what could be wrong... SMG pump on it's way out maybe? Or the relay? Is the SMG light on cos there IS a fault, or WAS a fault?

Will get it checked out as soon as I can regardless, just wondered what people's opinions were.
