Rubbing under hard cornering - AP's fitted
Good evening again guys,
As above, I've AP's fitted F&R and under hard cornering there's rubbing/scraping coming from the front brakes (I'm guessing cause it's metal on metal) Like there's flex in the disc or wheel bearing... Could it be that the calliper is shimmed too much in towards the disc and needs a shim removing to allow very slight movement of the disc? When the brakes were fitted, the calliper was fitted so that the disc was running exactly through the centre of the calliper. Maybe it's the anti-rattle clip rubbing off the disc? I had that issue on the rear and had to grind the whole in the anti-rattle clip to stop is squealing on the disc. I'm offshore at the moment so just going through these wee issues that appeared during my last leave. I'll pull the wheel off when I get home and it should be fairly apparent I suppose. Thoughts? |
