Ds 2500 or rs-29's

I realise the Pagids are the holy grail as far as AP's and track days are concerned but what about if it's 99% road driving?? For the foreseeable future I don't see myself getting to a track (except a gentle first go at Brands maybe with my Brother in law) and gather from searching on here the pagids may be overkill. Then I read that as soon as you buy the AP kit you should junk the Ferodo's that come with it and get the Pagids.
I've got Brembo's all round and after Munich Legends kindly 'agitated' the ABS unit and re-bled the system for me I've got a nice firm pedal but no real bite from the standard material textars that have done a good few miles so should have bedded in by now....
Am I right in thinking Ferodo's are fine for fast road work and Pagids for track??
It's also £200 v's £500 for Ferodo v's Pagid
