so I had heard a lot about this detailing malarky and the clay. I bought a bar of that Bilt Hamber stuff in regular and some new polishing cloths.
car was clean, had a quick wipe out then got the plant sprayer out to wet the area and clay. OMG what a difference it makes. I started on the bonnet of Cesil and it felt like sandpaper so I was like WTF is this. I thought my car was clean!! you don't need to press hard and just the weight of yr hand, with a forward/backward motion. Within a few strokes you can feel the area getting smoother and all the grit / dirt particles coming off. I had to dry off, then wet area next to it with a bit of overlap. Once i had done the bonnet it felt so smooth! I ran finger over area and onto the wings. They felt like a bit of sandpaper!! put some decent autoglym polish on the bonnet and wow it just looks n feels awesome. I have still got to do rear wings n bumpers. the amount of crap that came off the roof was unreal. It was really rough and it took two lots of going over to get super smooth. this bilt hamber clay is unreal and really worth spending time n money on. Sorry if you know this already but I cant believe I had not used before. makes sure you use loads of water and lots of patience too. If u drop the clay then bin it straight away too. DC
